A member or
dependant may only claim for medical services rendered on or
after the date on which he or she becomes a member or
dependant.
Please refer to
your membership card in this regard.
When visiting a
medical service provider, ask whether he or she submits
medical accounts to NMC directly. If not, you are liable to
submit the provider’s account/ claim to NMC.
Most service
providers prefer to submit claims directly to NMC on behalf
of the members. In this case, claims are paid directly to
the medical service providers.
However, it is
still the member’s responsibility to settle any levy or
excess directly with the medical service providers. If your
service provider claims directly from NMC, kindly sign his
or her account immediately after each consultation or
treatment.
This confirms that
you have in fact received the treatment/medicine from the
service provider.
